Gabriel, Megan, Elaria, and Averie—Kinesiology students from the University of Manitoba—are working alongside Reh-Fit fitness staff until December. They’re eager to get hands-on learning experiences from the team of experts at Reh-Fit while enhancing Reh-Fit members' experience by sharing their knowledge and passion for fitness.
Each student brings a unique story that led them to their field of study and their passion for supporting others' well-being.

Elaria played sports, and with that came a lot of visits to the physiotherapy clinic. “I was amazed by their anatomy knowledge,” she shared. This inspired her to pursue kinesiology. Averie enjoys going for walks and working out, and through her activities has experienced the importance of an active lifestyle. “I also enjoy learning about the body and how it works,” she said.
Gabriel hopes to use his growing understanding of exercise science to support and empower people to reach their unique fitness goals. Like Elaria, Megan also grew up playing sports, which is where her passion for fitness began. With hopes of supporting people’s well-being through a career in physiotherapy, kinesiology was the perfect fit for her undergraduate studies.
Now that you’ve gotten to know these amazing Kinesiology students a bit better, make sure to say hello to them next time you see them around the Reh-Fit Centre! They’re here to support you on your journey to a healthier, more active life, and we’re excited to see the positive impact they’re having on our community.
